Amor fati is not resignation. It is the practice of meeting the whole of a life—the expected and the unforeseen—and allowing each part to belong.
What arrives may change us, but it also becomes material: something we can carry, shape, and eventually love as part of our own becoming.
02 Materials · Studio note The character of natural things Why variation, asymmetry, and the marks of origin belong in the finished piece.
A natural stone does not repeat itself. Color shifts, inclusions, texture, and irregular form are not flaws to hide; they are a record of where the material began.
We compose with those differences, letting each pearl, shell, and stone keep its character in the finished piece.
03 Studio · Process note From the Los Angeles studio Morning light, new stones, and the quiet rituals behind a small collection.
The work begins by looking: at color, scale, texture, and the quiet relationship between one material and the next.
Each composition is assembled by hand in Los Angeles, adjusted until it feels balanced, and finished as an individual object made to be lived in.
